Claire Harper - Physiotherapist

Having competed both nationally and internationally in my sport, sports injuries has always been a strong interest. After spending time volunteering as a physiotherapy assistant within the NHS as well as local sports clubs, I embarked upon and completed my degree at the University of Salford. Since then I have worked for semi-professional rugby and American football clubs, whilst completing all core rotations within the NHS then moving into the private sector. Pathologies treated include but are not limited to: back pain, whiplash, RSI, sporting injuries, joint sprains/strains Since graduation post graduate courses have been completed in pilates, kinetic control, gait scanning and more.

I met a patient from the Oldham clinic when I was out dog walking. We got chatting and he told me he had a back problem and how the guys at the chiropractic clinic had helped him. I had suffered with back pain for a while and so decided to give the clinic a try. After several treatments with Dr Jackson I began to feel better and very shortly after became a member of the staff there.

Over the three years that I have been part of the team I have seen many people benefit from chiropractic care. One particular episode that I remember clearly was when a patient came into the clinic literally doubled over and then not ten minutes later walk out of the clinic with a straight back!

Having been with the practice for over 10 years, I am the longest serving member of staff and have seen the results firsthand from chiropractic care.

Working on the front line as a senior receptionist has resulted in many patients becoming more like friends.

I take inspiration from my experience at the clinic, which is why my hobbies involve plenty of exercise such as walking and going to the gym.

Since coming to work at Oldham Chiropractic Clinic I have been really impressed with the professional approach in all aspects of this clinic.

Although I knew all the basics of the treatments available I had not had cause to have treatment myself until twelve months ago. I could not believe how quickly I responded. After just a few treatments my mobility had increased considerably and much better than that, the pain had gone.

After my own experience I now have total empathy with patients who come to the clinic in pain and watching their progress is very satisfying.

After previously working in a G.P surgery where a prescription for pain killers or your name on a waiting list were the order of the day, the results I have witnessed here have been a revelation.

Having worked at the Oldham clinic for over 12 months, I have found my position to be very fulfilling.

It is rewarding to see the progress people make during a course of chiropractic treatment.
